From this one can figure the rakeback earned at 30% by $0.42 by 0.30 = $0.12 in rakeback earned per hand which in an hour would amount to $3.60. If you kept at it hourly for a month you would end up making $108. If multi-tabling, the money to be made by rakeback increases much more.

Different poker rooms calculate rake differently as it can be determined based on stakes, number of players in a hand, whether or not a player was involved in a hand and how much has been contributed to the pot.
Rakeback benefits poker players as losing players can break even, break-even players are turned into winners with winners getting even more money. The true merits of a rakeback are to be seen in the long term. You do not need to be concerned much as you will earn 1/3 to 1/2 of it back. There are immense benefits to be derived from having rakeback. As long as you play to clear a bonus, the actual rake paid will often be reduced to zero or as close to zero as possible and this alone may turn a player into a winner.
